Bots crafting content. Googling edKeywords, trolling for invitees to Curriki Workshop, I come across a link (with description that is just too familiar) to this page (link there, screenshot here)...

The text in this page has been harvested from a blog entry I just posted the other day.

How much of the web is actually user-generated?

OK. So, I have this new blog, right? And I've just started tweaking it, two weeks in now. Wordpress. Cool stuff.

...and I'm surfing the web, checking out education and open source; all while implementing Google's Personalized Search feature...and I run a blog search for "k-12 education 'open source', and the first hit in the results page is ...

...one of my blog entries. This is getting fun.

Created my first bookmarklet today. Stumbled into Bookmarklet Builder online, thought I could use a bookmarklet to look up definitions of highlighted text, via Google Define: ( gDefine ).

Attended the Refresh Phoenix meeting tonight. James, Josh, another Josh, Jason, Greg and Erica all helped this newbie into the conversation. Dave appeared late, and brought mention of Sakai. Plan to look into RoR and perhaps attend the Phoenix Ruby users group.
